How to Signup on Radiate

Radiate Sign Up
  • Registration is free
  • Quick and easy signup
  • Register via Facebook or email address
  • Comes with a semi-complete profile lifted from your Facebook account
  • Does not include any verification process

Once you installed the mobile app, starting your Radiate journey is as easy as can be. All you have to do is to sign up through your Facebook account or email address.

The app gathers your email address, sex, username, birthday, and photos during the registration. If you’d like a little privacy (i.e. you don’t want to broadcast to your Facebook friends that you’re looking forward to rave), you can restrict Radiate’s access. For starters, you may disallow the app to post anything on your behalf.

Once you agreed to link your account, Radiate will instantly prepare a semi-furnished profile for you. This will include six of your photos (lifted from your Facebook profile images), your first name, age, and how long you’ve been a Radiate member. If you choose to sign up using your email address, you will have to manually input your details.

Making Contact on Radiate

Radiate Moshpit
  • Send 'Hey' to other members
  • Post images and status to 'Da Feed'
  • Signify if you’re going to events
  • Join forum and squads
  • All members can send messages for free
  • There is a chatroom

As a social media platform-slash-events organizer, Radiate has several functions that connect you with events and people.

  • Moshpit

Named after the spot where you can get in close contact with fellow revellers, the Moshpit lets you view profiles one-by-one. Click “Skip” if you’d like to check more profiles. If you want what you’re seeing, select “Hey.”

The Moshpit freely suggests male and female profiles. Since Radiate is not a dating app, this means you don’t have a say in terms of preference. You meet friends or fellow party-goers regardless of sex or orientation.

  • Events (Forum, People, Squads)

This directory-like feature lists down all the music festivals and raves that might interest you. Click on one, and you can select if you’re “Interested” or “Going” to check out other members who may be with you during the event.

You can join the general forum, see members who are going one-by-one (People) or join location or interest-based groups (Squads) for one event alone.

  • Messages

Of course, you can also directly interact with a member via messages. Apart from text, you may send emojis and even pictures for an interactive and playful conversation.

All these features are free, and we think that this freedom to access and mingle is what made the shift from social to a dating app, at least in the POV of users.

During our test period, we noticed that one event could have multiple squads all with various intentions. Locations are common, but some squads blatantly look for members who are searching for hookups or dates during the event. Join one, and you’ll meet like-minded individuals who share the same goal as you.

The flirty exchanges of messages may happen in the Squad chat, but ultimately, members who caught each other’s eye move their interactions to the messages function. Since it’s also free, users can flirt some more and plan their next steps before D-Day.

Radiate Profile Quality

Radiate Profile
  • Profiles only include the basic details
  • Profiles are not regulated or checked by the moderators
  • Easy to supply and edit information
  • View full-sized photos for free
  • There are fake profiles on the app
  • Profile pictures are visible to everyone for free

It was quite easy to complete a Radiate profile since most of the needed details were already grabbed from Facebook.

There isn’t much to a member’s profile: six photos, a name, age, sex, and a short statement about yourself. You may also link your Instagram account if you want to find more mutuals while at Radiate.

Since Radiate is a social platform, it seems like the details it requires is more than enough. Since Radiate has no official identity verification process, fake profiles are present on the app despite its efforts to prevent them.

Radiate App

Radiate Mobile
  • Free to download
  • Available for Android and iOS users
  • Doesn't feature ads
  • Has occasional glitches
  • Updates on the Android version are delayed
  • Some users claim that the app glitches

The free-to-download app is modern, chic, and informative; a requirement, given that the audience it serves is those who grew up with technology.

Radiate is in night mode; the color black dominates the app making it look even more sleek and polished—accent colors of pink and blue smatter the app for a youthful vibe.

In terms of navigation, it’s quite easy to flit around tabs at Radiate. There are five primary tabs located at the footer of the app. The first one is represented by Radiate’s icon and leads you to Da Feed, Local, and Moshpit sections.

The second tab is where the fun is—the list of events you can join. At present, events from America and Europe will appear on this tab. The third one is the Messages tab where you can backread previous correspondence with other members.

Next is the Notifications tab, so you stay updated with the ins and outs of festivals and whatnots. Lastly, you’ll also have a dedicated tab where you can see and edit your profile.

Special Features

Here are some noteworthy Radiate features:

Da Feed

Da Feed is the place to be if you wanted to browse through the members who are at Radiate. You can see what events are talked about, check if other members are selling tickets and whatnots, or interact with engaging users by scrolling through this feed.

Radiate Glow

To get the most out of the app, iOS users can opt to subscribe to Radiate Glow for full access and first dibs on what's new and hot.

Heydar

Heydar sends an anonymous “hey” to members at the Moshpit. Once the member also sends a “hey” your way, Radiate opens a chat for you. And then you’ll know—you both were eyeing each other. Like the Radiate Glow function, Heydar is available for iOS users only.
